Project Engineer

Job duties: Analyze and evaluate the materials and fabrication processing of targeted steels and stainless steels used for each construction project. Evaluate existing metal manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas in need of changes and improvements. Analyze materials and process specifications through collaboration with manufacturing and vendors to guide engineers in selecting appropriate materials by drawing from industry standards and material engineering techniques. Analyze and evaluate alternative composite materials and processes that improve properties by performing trade studies and coupon testing. Monitor the materials systems manufacturing process for various steel prototypes. Analyze and recommend modifications for various processes of stainless steel fabrications, and steel grade controls to maximize functional stability. Analyze the materials engineering elements to test fabrication and assembly process, and coordinate operations involving manufacturing process, production line, installation and assembly of the steel/stainless steel components, and its testing devices.
